Phnom Penh, Cambodia, July 10, 2023 – ASEAN Resilient WASH (ARW) is calling on the government and other partners to take urgent action to improve water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) conditions in Phnom Penh following the recent flooding.

The flooding on July 3rd caused widespread damage to WASH infrastructure, leaving many people without access to sanitation, and hygiene facilities. This has created a major health risk, as people are now exposed to contaminated water and sewage.

ARW is working to raise awareness of WASH's importance and promote WASH-friendly practices in Phnom Penh.
